2009-10 Season Preview: Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder could find a way into the playoffs, but Sam Presti's refusal to deviate from his long term plans when he had cap space to utilize this past summer makes that an order too tall for the impressively rapid development of their core.

30 Teams, 30 Days: Oklahoma City Draft Preview
If Ricky Rubio and Hasheem Thabeet are indeed players 2A and 2B in this draft, the Thunder are in a similar situation as Atlanta in 2007 when they selected Al Horford.

Kevin Durant had a great rookie season, but has showed flashes of greatness during his sophomore campaign with the Thunder.

Seattle Supersonics On My Mind
The Oklahoma City Thunder have already played a handful of games, but seeing no NBA team in Seattle for the first time since the LBJ administration still feels strange for many.

Unlucky?
This team is very young and won’t have high expectations next season, so getting Bayless on the court with Durant and Green for extended minutes would be one of the team’s goals.

Lottery Summit: Seattle Supersonics
The Sonics are in the most unique situation of all the teams heading into this year's lottery because of their uncertain future in Seattle. However, everyone seems to agree that they could use a top-flight point guard.

Why The Sonics Will Be OK
The Sonics were going to struggle this season, that fact was widely known, but it has been even a bit tougher than many expected. But there are several points that can be looked at to remain optimistic.

The Opening Salvo: First Moves Of The Sam Presti Regime In Seattle
The young duo of Kevin Durant and Jeff Green is promising, but NBA history is littered with talented players who never panned out. In a way, the Sonics have put all their eggs in one basket, leaving the team with extraordinary boom or bust potential.

Summer League Analysis: Game 1, Vs. Dallas
It was supposed to be the Kevin Durant show, but it was the show that was anything but Kevin Durant. Seattle failed to establish any rhythm as a team and fell to Dallas’ strong play. The Sonics have some decent players on the court, but they must find their identity because there wasn’t much of one. And find it quick.

30 Teams, 30 Days: Seattle Draft Preview
The Sonics were the Diet Suns during the 2004-2005 season and after two seasons in the lottery, they got lucky and will have the luxury and low-pressure of choosing Portland's leftover.

Do Or Die Season For Sonics And City Of Seattle
No doubt, there must be loud public outcry from the sports media and fan base complete with grass roots efforts popping up to urge the new owners and city to come to an agreement that would keep the Sonics in Seattle. You might think this would be the case. Unfortunately, it is not.

Does Seattle Even Need You Anymore?
In a place known for rain, dead rock stars and coffee, a lesser known commodity may be on its way out. So load up the covered wagons and head down to Oklahoma, if you must, and I’ll simply go to the local gym and watch the next McDonald’s All-American.

RealGM All-Time Draft: Seattle Versus Minnesota
Earlier this year, the participants at the RealGM.com bulletin boards decided to run a little test: We gathered thirty people and assigned each one to an NBA team. Then we did what amounted to a fantasy draft, only instead of picking current players, we selected players from all across the history of the NBA, so long as they'd played in about 330 games. It was a twelve-round draft and we selected based on a randomized seeding that rotated in ABBA format.

Sonic Booming
It is hard to believe that a team that was so good a year ago is now 10 games under .500. The Sonics can try to right the ship by reloading or they can start over and begin major rebuiliding project. Here is what they can do to rebuild.

Can Ray Save The Day?
The Sonics lack of any major acquisition coupled by the loss of several key role players this past summer leaves the Supersonics with one centerpiece (Ray Allen) and a lot of hope.

Cinderella Reloaded
The Sonics success in the upcoming season rests on the shoulders of two country boys that are ready to play and produce. Luke Ridnour and Nick Collison emerged as legitimate contributors in the playoffs this past season and will have to produce even more this upcoming season.

Replacing A Seattle Legend
The leading candidate for the Sonics would likely be Flip Saunders who got fired after a disappointing season with the Timberwolves, after leading them to game seven of the Western Conference Finals in 2004. Flip, however, may not be appealing to the Sonics considering he is waiting to hear word about the Piston’s job in Detroit, which could drag on for quite a while.

Seattle's Draft May Give Insight Into Their Free Agency Plans
What the Sonics do in the draft with their 25th pick, is dependant on what they plan to do with their free agents. It seems that Ray Allen may be signed and traded. It also appears as highly likely that Antonio Daniels may be gone. With that said, the Sonics have a whole lot of talent at SF and SG, so I could see them looking at a big man or another point guard. The most likely players to fill those roles are: Chris Taft, Jarrett Jack, Francisco Garcia, Ersan Ilyasova, Luther Head, Andray Blatche, Wayne Simien, Randolph Morris.

Sonics Give It Their All But Spurs Just Too Tough
The Sonics finished a fantastic season losing a nailbiter in the Key Arena to the San Antonio Spurs 98-96.

Right Now I Would Settle For A Win Or Two
The Sonics can prove themselves by picking up a few wins in this series versus the powerhouse San Antonio Spurs.

Seattle Takes Offense
The City of Seattle hasn’t been this excited since Niles married Daphne. Behind a total team effort the Sonics sent the Kings packing in a thrilling Game 5 and advanced to the second round for the first time in seven seasons.

Is “Big Snacks” Becoming More Then Just A Big Tease?
Jerome James, in the period of just a few short weeks, has transformed into a legitimate inside threat for the Sonics on both the offensive and defensive ends.

Allen’s Jesus Like Performance
Ray Allen hasn’t been this hot since he played Jesus Shuttlesworth in “He Got Game”. Shooting 60% and posting a career high 45 points Allen has the Sonics on the brink of the second round for the first time since 1998.

Are The Kings Done?
The Sonics only problem thus far has been Vladimir Radmanovic’s hair. Eastern European Men are not meant to have braids. He even color coordinated the bands to match his uniform.

Northwest Division Title Comes Down To The Wire
The seemingly locked up Northwest title cold now could now come down to the wire between the hobbled Sonics and the surging Nuggets.

That Crazy Bench
The Sonics bench did it again, leading Seattle to an 89-87 victory over the Portland Trailblazers.

Time To Shear The People’s Pigtails?
Seattle Supersonics forward/center has decided to play by the beat of his own drum at the wrong time, which is meddling with the Sonics all-important chemistry.

Meltdown In Milwaukee
In Ray Allen’s first game back in Milwaukee the first quarter score said it all. The Seattle SuperSonics began the second quarter down 31-10 to the 22-31 Milwaukee Bucks, unable to buy a bucket.

Sonics Maintain Their Chemistry As The NBA Explodes With Trades
With a good number of contracts expiring at years end, many thought it would be best for the Sonics to make the appropriate trades to let go of players they would most likely have no chance of resigning.

Seattle SuperSonics Live By The Three And Manage To Live Without
But when the three-point well runs dry, will the Sonics be able to pull out the victory? Especially in the playoffs in a seven game series?

Warm Fuzzies
As the All-Star game weekend is upon us it is time to take a look back at the first half of the season and reflect on my favorite moments of the year. Sure Radmanovic nearly beating the Sonic record for threes, Rashard making his first All-Star, and the growth of Reggie, Luke, and Nick were all nice, but not nearly as hysterical.

Sonics Breakdown By A Die-Hard Cavaliers Fan
The first thing you notice about the Sonics is that they play really well together and are totally focused on execution, especially at the offensive end. Great coaching job by Nate McMillan, who will garner strong consideration for Coach of the Year.
